The family behind the grain.

Two brothers, one standard.
Cedarland is family-run. We work hands-on with every specification — from the first enquiry to the final cut — so the timber you receive is exactly what your project demands. No intermediaries, no generic stock, no compromise on the grain.
From a single felled cedar.
Cedarland was founded by Almanzo Sankey in 2018, following the felling of several large cedar trees on his property just outside Havelock North. With the logs measuring over one metre in diameter, Almanzo was advised to have them milled due to the exceptional quality of the timber.
The first project supplied cedar cladding for a new residential build in Hawke's Bay. Since then, Cedarland has evolved into a specialist supplier of untreated, naturally durable timber — custom processed in New Zealand to meet the specific requirements of architectural and construction projects nationwide.
With increasing export of premium timber, ongoing supply constraints, and rising material costs, Cedarland was established to provide a reliable local source of high-quality Cedar and other naturally durable untreated timbers. Our focus is on supplying architects and builders with materials that offer both performance and aesthetic integrity, without reliance on chemical treatment.
Based in Hastings, Hawke's Bay, Cedarland offers precision processing of cedar and other naturally durable timbers to specified sizes, lengths, profiles, and finishes. We support projects throughout New Zealand with nationwide freight and tailored timber solutions.
